KWG PhD Prize

Annual

Each year, four to six PhD candidates are given the opportunity to present their research at the Netherlands Mathematical Congress (in 2026: during the KWG afternoon on 8 May). A special committee selects the winner, who receives the KWG PhD Prize—the successor to the Philips Prize—consisting of a trophy and a monetary award. The prize is sponsored by the Compositio Mathematica Foundation.

Information about the registration procedure for the 2027 KWG PhD Prize will follow in due course.
