About KWG
The Royal Dutch Mathematical Society is a national association of mathematicians and anyone who has a heart for mathematics. The association was founded in 1778 and is the world's oldest national mathematics society.
The KWG aims to:
Mathematics practice
Promotion of mathematics, her practice and her applications.
Consistency and communication
Fostering collaboration and exchange within the mathematical community through the organisation of events, and subsidising initiatives.
Publications and archives
The publication of periodicals (NAW, Indagationes Mathematicae, Pythagoras) and managing our mathematical heritage.
Representation
Representation of the mathematical community, national and international, including in the Beta Federation, EMS and IMU.
