Prof. Dr. Christoph Thiele is professor of mathematics at Bonn University, where he holds the prestigious Hausdorff Chair. His research focuses on harmonic analysis, with important contributions to time-frequency analysis, the Carleson theorem and bilinear Hilbert transformation. He obtained his PhD at Yale University and previously worked on UCLA before coming to Bonn in 2012.

Thiele has received several awards, including the Salem Prize, the Humboldt Research Award and will receive the Brouwer Medal in 2026. He is involved in international collaborations and projects on formal verification of mathematical results, and is an influential speaker and mentor within the global mathematics community.
