On 18 May 2026, a public symposium took place at the Amsterdam Public Library, Oosterdok location, organized in collaboration between the Society for the Advancement of Natural, Medical and Surgical Sciences (GNGH) and the Royal Mathematical Society (KWG). The symposium brought together approximately eighty participants and demonstrated how mathematics and statistics, the life sciences and medicine, and artificial intelligence not only intersect, but are also increasingly mutually reinforcing.
